Provide More and Better Services for Residents and Seniors
As the only candidate with over two years of hands-on experience volunteering at the Cupertino Senior Center, I have identified numerous opportunities to enhance services for seniors and residents—many of which can be implemented with minimal cost to the city.
Here are a few of my proposals:
1. Expand Social Dance Programs
According to a 2015 study by Harvard Medical School, social dancing is one of the best activities to help prevent dementia. By increasing the availability of social dance classes, we can promote both physical and mental well-being for our seniors. Please see the links and QR codes below:

2. Recruit More Volunteers
Encouraging more community members to volunteer at senior centers will foster a stronger sense of participation among seniors and create opportunities for them to engage more actively in community life.

3. Increase Pickleball Opportunities
o Introduce more beginner-level pickleball classes, allowing new players to learn and enjoy the sport.
o Mark additional pickleball lines on existing tennis courts at Memorial Park to maximize usage and accessibility.
4. Host an Annual Pickleball Tournament
Cupertino can host a signature pickleball tournament, which will not only foster community engagement but also attract visitors to our city, boosting local business and increasing retail sales. As the old Chinese saying goes, “Where there are people, there is prosperity.” (有人斯有財!)
